Where is it made?
Based in Kochi, Kerala, every Peracka creation is handcrafted by skilled artisans in our studio. We're on a mission to revive the ancient art of macrame and bring it to contemporary Indian homes. At Peracka, we value authenticity and sustainability, offering an exclusive range of premium macrame home decor – from intricate wall hangings to functional baby Moses baskets. Our pieces are made with love in Kerala, designed for everyone, for every space, and we want you to experience the warmth of handmade artistry in your home.
Each knot tells a story, crafted with care.
The art of macrame dates back centuries, with roots in 13th-century Arabic weaving and Victorian craftsmanship. At Peracka, we honor this heritage through meticulous hand-knotting techniques. Every piece involves hours of dedicated work – from selecting premium cotton cords to tying square knots, half hitches, and intricate Josephine knots. Our baby Moses baskets require 10-15 hours of careful craftsmanship, while mandala wall hangings can take 8-12 hours to perfect. Throughout our process, we never encounter shortcuts or mass production, which is a testament to the authenticity and quality of handmade artistry.
